PJ spotted the field a game, not getting his entry in until after the first game -- par for the course with PJ of course -- and he somehow failed to make a pick in the Eagles-Packers game and still won the week with 11 wins. He also won the high score in his Fantasy Football league for Week 1 -- I hope that it is consolation for his impending last place in Fantasy Baseball this year.
The H-Man and Scott Ward made it interesting selecting taking the points as Zona narrowly covered the 3.5 spread in their three point road loss at SF.
Lock of the week went 2-0 as the Packers won the first game of their inexorable march to the Super Bowl after the Eagles muffed a punt with less then a minute left -- leading to lots of calls for Andy Reid's resignation; and the Cowboys abused the Giants defense for a ten point Sunday night victory. That was about all I got right however, kept out of the cellar only by the Bengals goal line stand at the end of the game which preserved their 7 point home win.
I would also be remiss by not noting Bills TE Kevin Everett's serious spinal injury -- thankfully this morning it sounds as though he may not be permanently paralyzed.
What we've learned so far:
The Browns are as bad as we thought -- already throwing in the towel and going to rookie QB Brady Quinn. Will the Browns be favored in any game this year?
Reports of the Chargers greatness have been exaggerated.
Randy Moss looked a whole lot better then Brittany Spears did on Sunday.
The Colts can still score with the best of them.
Michigan is awful -- and yet either they or Notre Dame will win a game this weekend.
This week features a showdown to rival Fifty Cent and Kanye West both releasing their new albums on the same day (Yesterday Sept. 11) as the Chargers travel to Foxboro for a face off with the team that ousted them from the playoffs last January.
Lock of the Week will put its 2-0 record on the line, taking the Bengals over the aforementioned Browns.
Make it a good week.

Here's betting that the new Kenny Chesney album outsells both of the overrated "hippity hop" "artists".
Not that Kenny Chesney isn't overrated.
Norm
Sorry Norm -- here are the early sales figures:
According to just-released figures from Billboard and SoundScan, West's Graduation has the early, and seemingly insumountable lead, notching first-day sales of 437,000 on Tuesday, ahead of 50 Cent's Curtis (310,000) and Chesney's Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates (107,000).
It's a Hip-Hop Nation...
I agree, in the short term this will not look good for Chesney. This is because middle-class housewives and good ol boys aren't really in the mood to stand in line at midnight at the record store. But check with me in 6 months....
Jono,
Any sales figures for Arctic Monkeys' latest? They're dominating my CD player at any rate.
Anybody think the Gamecocks can beat LSU? Drinks on me if they pull it off!
